Regularly starting this season, Duje Caleta-Car has every reason to be wary. The central defender of Olympique Lyonnais multiplies the faults and collects numerous warnings. Beyond the cards and suspensions, the Croatian puts his status in danger.
In his mid-season review or almost, Sidney Govou had positive comments on Olympique Lyonnais. The former Gone nevertheless pointed out certain individuals who disappointed him. Like midfielder Maxence Caqueret and winger Ernest Nuamah, Duje Caleta-Car did not always give him satisfaction during this first part of the exercise.

Certainly, the former Olympique de Marseille player is favored by Pierre Sage who has fielded him in 18 matches out of 21 in all competitions. But not sure that the Rhone coach will give him this confidence until the end. The central defender sometimes seemed on the limit and the referees sensed it. In 13 Ligue 1 matches, Duje Caleta-Car, author of 17 fouls, collected six yellow cards, the second highest total in the championship behind Toulouse midfielder Cristian Casseres (seven).
Proof that his opponents have often managed to gain the upper hand in their duels. His difficulties have undoubtedly not escaped Pierre Sage who saw his central defender suspended twice for accumulation of yellow cards. The Croatian international therefore had an interest in being wary. Especially since the competition represented by Moussa Niakhaté, Clinton Mata, Warmed Omari, even Adryelson if the Brazilian returns on loan, have the means to overshadow him.
