The police in the Brussels-West zone announce that this Wednesday, December 25, around 11:50 p.m., shots were fired at Bonnevie Park in Molenbeek. She gave a little more information in a press release. “Upon arrival, officers found no one at the scene, but shell casings were discovered near the park. During a search in the surrounding area, officers discovered an injured man between two parked cars in rue de Berchem in Molenbeek. The victim had stab wounds. Emergency services were immediately called and the victim was taken to hospital.”reports Yasmina Vanoverschelde, the police porte-parole. Shortly after, a second injured person was located in rue de la Carpe in Molenbeek. This victim, also suffering from stab wounds, was transferred to hospital. The condition of the two victims is stable and their lives are not in danger.”

The investigation is continuing to shed light on this matter. “A judicial exclusion perimeter has been established, and the Brussels public prosecutor's office has been informed. A forensic doctor and a ballistics expert were contacted by the magistrate on duty, and the federal police laboratory went to the site to carry out the necessary analyses. At this stage of the investigation, no suspect(s) have been arrested. It has not yet been established whether the stabbing attacks are linked to the shootings reported at Bonnevie Park. This is part of the ongoing investigation.”
