CIt's a gift from his family which is the origin of his new life. Of course, Stéphanie Ré already used threads and needles, loved drawing and creating, but it was this embroidery course that confirmed her aspirations and made her want to move from accountant to professional embroiderer.

This first course led to others. And she chose the best in the profession: the Lesage house in . The prestigious school created in 1992 and unfailingly linked to the biggest names in fashion, offers eight levels. Stéphanie Ré validated seven. A huge investment.

At the time, she lived in and the trips to the capital were epic. But when you love you don't count. Along the way, she obtained her CAP and today masters the best in art embroidery. She is a Lunéville crochet specialist. The tool, whose tip ends in a hook, allows you to apply beads and sequins with irreplaceable regularity, going much faster than with a needle, provided, of course, that you master the specific technique which requires work backwards. To broaden her skills and refine her technique, Stéphanie Ré also followed training at Bégonia d'Or, to embroider with gold thread, at the Darolti workshops and at the Lunéville Embroidery Conservatory.

Unique creations

The craftswoman designs and makes frames, earrings, bracelets – the one with red vermicelli beads is particularly elegant –, gold brooches, wedding barrettes, cushions… Father Christmas were spoiled for choice. His technique of gold embroidery on silk organza or based on cannetille or jaseron also allows him to work on the embroidery of wedding dresses, matadors' costumes or on the boleros of spreaders or vests of racing jumpers Landes.

All of his entirely handmade creations are unique. “Even if I sometimes make small series of three or four pieces of jewelry, no two are ever perfectly identical,” she confides. This is the charm of the work of this talented little hand, but it is also its weakness, because we easily understand that the prices, which remain measured, cannot be the same as those of standardized and manufactured objects.

Introduction and improvement

The Saint-Paul artist offers introductory and advanced courses because, she says, “this art, a symbol of French luxury, is within everyone’s reach. By passing on my know-how, I would like all women to have access to the haute couture embroidery that makes them dream.”

All equipment is provided. The level 1 course (duration six hours) allows you to learn how to use the Lunéville crochet hook by working with both hands. Course 2 covers chain stitch, placing beads, sequins or river basins.
