Sana Hajji is of Tunisian origin. She has always been cooking, started in her family in Tunisia. She also made a career out of it, which she notably practiced in nursing homes. But running her own business, promoting the gastronomy of her country, she dreamed of it. So, when the opportunity presented itself, at the end of parental leave, the mother of four children did not hesitate: this premises on rue du Commerce would be in the colors of Tunisia and she would name it everything simply Chez Sana.

“I want to show that Tunisian cuisine is not just couscous. And by the spices used, it is different from that of Algeria and Morocco”explains Sana Hajji. Nevertheless, couscous features prominently on the restaurant's menu: couscous with chicken, lamb, fish and a special Sana couscous, with merguez, chicken and lamb chop. But also a steamed Djerbien rice with vegetables or a very generous beef mloukhiya.

Inexpensive and generous dishes, served for lunch and dinner, Monday to Saturday, on site, to take away and even soon with a delivery offer. But also grills, sandwiches with a student formula at €7 and a children's menu. Everything is fresh, Sana declaring herself “unable to cook frozen food in my restaurant”. The lemonade is also homemade, as is the mint tea, with or without pine nuts.

Chez Sana at 8 bis, rue du Commerce in . Open Monday to Saturday from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. and from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Contact: 02.19.26.13.75.
