The Tarbes Nautic Club traveled from December 11 to 15 to Dunkirk to compete in the French Benjamins Championships. Mathis Daram and Zélie Monzie-Tarissan had completed the qualifications since June. A first high-level experience for these young people from the club's swimming school.
The two young people, under the responsibility of coach Bastien Larribau, achieve great performances and above all become aware of the work that remains to be accomplished to get closer to the best French swimmers in the 12 and 13 year old category.
Important conditions are offered to the youngest members of the TNC, with up to 5 training sessions per week from 1h30 to 2h15 and a weekly physical preparation session. All the technical staff are working on new training techniques based primarily on well-being in training with high demands rather than on raw performance achievement. A swimmer must feel good in his club to perform well. The proof is that these techniques work.
Water Polo was not unworthy with certainly a heavy defeat against the Montpellier team, one of the best teams in the National 3 championship, but an interesting apprenticeship for the future allowing the TNC to glimpse the middle of table on the ranking of the French National 3 championship.
