The horrible attack in Magdeburg in Germany looms large in people's minds. As the end-of-year celebrations begin this Tuesday evening with the New Year's Eve of Noël, the city of has decided to strengthen the security of its Christmas market.

New devices and more staff

In a press release, the city announces that “municipal services are thus reinforcing the blocking devices (granite blocks or anti-car ram speed bumps) at the main access points around Place de la Réunion. »

The town hall adds that “these devices complement the numerous devices already in place at the various entrances to the pedestrian zone. »

In addition to the Christmas market, other places will be even more secure. “As of Monday, December 23, the State is also strengthening its surveillance system by increasing the number of Sentinels, on patrol in the city center of Mulhouse. »
