The Charles N'Tchoréré Military Prytanée hosted the traditional ceremony of presenting the flag and handing over insignia to the new residents. A large-scale event, chaired by the Chief of Staff of the Army and former trooper, Brigadier General Magatte Ndiaye, which celebrates the integration of young students from the 6th grade to within the large family of troop children. In total, these new students number 79, from 15 different countries and feel ready to take this decisive step, after having successfully passed the entrance exam to this internationally renowned establishment.

These future officers thus complete an immersion in the fundamental values of the establishment, guided by their elders. This three-week initiation period aims to teach young recruits the symbols associated with the school corps badge, the beret and the epaulettes. And according to the school commander, Colonel Abdoulaye Mbengue, these elements embody values such as courage, self-sacrifice, commitment, dedication, excellence and African integration.

For this year, it is the doctor-colonel Georges Niouky, an emblematic figure of Senegalese military medicine and the only medical officer until then certified at the War School, who was chosen as godfather, for his commitment and his exemplary career, which will serve as a source of inspiration for these young people, who aspire to embody the values of their institution, while contributing to the influence of military medicine and the army of Senegal, recalled Colonel Abdoulaye Mbengue, commander of the Charles N'Tchororé military Prytanée of Saint-Louis.
