The Pyrenees wake up to a new government this morning. The Prime Minister and Mayor of Pau François Bayrou had promised, his government would be announced before Christmas.
Elisabeth Borne therefore makes her return to the executive and occupies the position of Minister of National Education, the surprise of this list is of course Manuel Valls who occupies the Ministry of Overseas Territories. Gérald Darmanin and Bruno Retailleau take respectively the Ministries of Justice and the Interior, Rachida Dati is reappointed to Culture, while Annie Genevard therefore also retains her position as Minister of Agriculture, which should reassure the organizations agricultural unions in our departments.

Weather: towards a lull today?
The Pyrenees are still placed on yellow alert for the risk of avalanches, with a risk index which remains at 3, but which tends to lower in mid-mountains as the day goes on.
The snowfall should also continue to fade in the coming hours according to Météo France.
Consequently, and thanks to the operations carried out since Sunday by the South-West roads department, national road 320 will reopen from 8:30 a.m. to light vehicles equipped with winter equipment, thus allowing easy access. You will have to wait 15 hours for heavy goods vehicles. Note that in the Pyrénées-Orientales, departmental road 66 will also reopen to heavy goods vehicles between Prades and Bourg-Madame from 2 p.m.
State services warn that gendarmerie checks will be organized to check the presence of the equipment.

Narbonne: Thomas' body returned to his family
Several hundred people responded to the call launched by the father of Thomas, this 26-year-old young man killed by a drunk driver on December 13 in Narbonne. The bereaved father had actually called for a mobilization before the Narbonne court yesterday at 10 a.m., to try to recover his son's body for the end of year celebrations. As a reminder, justice planned to return it to the family in January.
After speaking for a little less than an hour with the Narbonne Public Prosecutor, Thomas' family was finally able to announce to the crowd in front of the courthouse that they had won their case. An announcement which was followed by numerous applause. Thomas' body was therefore returned to the family during the day.
