This project allows students to develop their scientific culture and the spirit of research characteristic of the GREEN laboratory, on English protocols, vocabulary, scientific experiments and to carry out manipulations in English. They also work on the Avenir course by discovering the sectors and professions linked to this partnership on the theme of ecological extraction.
Meeting with researchers from the Green laboratory
Monday December 16, 2024, as every year, the college received a visit from the GREEN laboratory team from the University of Avignon, historic partner of the 4th Euro class of Collège Roumanille.
This meeting constitutes the first highlight of this partnership. Students discover those who will be their sponsors throughout the year:
- Sandrine PERRINO, lecturer,
- Emmanuel PETITCOLAS, Design engineer.
Both described their careers, their jobs and what they entail of constraints but also of satisfaction.
They then invited them to participate in a game of scent discovery around essential oils: the aim was to find the original plant after smelling a blind sample.
They also discovered ultrasound and microwaves through installations provided by the teachers, some of which are inventions from the GREEN laboratory.
All the students and their teachers warmly thank the researchers for their collaboration.
Return to the 2023-2024 project
During the 2023-2024 school year, students from the LCE section of Roumanille college are participating in a “Succeeding with science” project in partnership with Avignon University laboratories.
