More than 400,000 euros were stolen from the Poste des Izards office, in (Haute-Garonne), Monday December 23, after the criminals blew up the back door of the building, France Bleu Occitanie learned from police sources. The Toulouse public prosecutor's office has opened an investigation into theft by an organized gang and destruction of property by dangerous means by an organized gang.

Around 6:25 a.m., the rear door of the building gave way under explosives and several individuals stole 470,000 euros, before fleeing in two vehicles, specifies this police source. The Post Office's communication does not confirm the amount of the stolen sum but indicates that the office was empty and that there were no injuries.

Many officers from DCOS, the division for fighting organized and specialized crime, are still mobilized this late Monday afternoon to carry out investigations. The office is closed until further notice. “We will try to reopen it as quickly as possible and find solutions, especially for those with Christmas packages,” indicates to France Bleu Occitanie, the communication from La Poste.
