More than fifty young people aged 6 to 12 played introductory matches on Saturday, December 21 under the watchful eye of Pedro Bompastor who supervised this workshop and guided the children in their futsal learning.
Eight teams, divided into two groups by categories U12-U13 and U14-U15, competed in eight-minute matches. The girls were also there with a pool of four teams in the women's category.
A mixed tournament in sharing
Among the participants, there were young people aged 6 to 15, girls, boys, graduates and non-licensees. A diversity that makes this day something festive and not a competition to win at all costs.
Among the older ones we find a sporting commitment, a lot of technique but with respect and fair play. This is also the primary meaning given to this tournament, the keys to which have been entrusted to sports educators from the sports and youth services of the city of Blois: Arnaud Aurouet, Pedro Bompastor and Fabien Lavechin.
The latter highlights the fraternal side of the event: “ The city of Blois has created a recurring tournament for young people aged 6 to 15, with the objective of sporting, social and human diversity. We are many educators whether in the city, in the clubs (Blois Foot, AFC Blois, Blois ASCP) and in youth spaces like Ocotydien, Charcot, la Quinière… Working on this project with young people that we know well. Unfortunately, many clubs are missing, especially the women's team, because this weekend is a weekend for late championship matches and the clubs are prioritizing their championships, which is logical. We are satisfied with the prevailing mentality, winning is good, opening up to others and accepting losing is essential. »
A surprise to end in style
To reward all participants with a medal, a cup and a gift, nothing like three former Blois Foot 41 licensees, now under aspiring contract in professional teams, to take care of it.
Moctar Guirassy, midfielder for the OM U17s, Mohamed Chebbi, who played for US Vendôme and Blois Foot, now an attacker at Stade Rennais for the U17s and finally Drame Massiremba defender for AS Monaco U17.
Léandro, Ryad and Emerice, from Blois Foot 41, 1is in U12-U13, react at the end of the tournament: “ We really enjoyed the tournament, we trained a lot, so we're proud because it's a great reward, we're really happy. »
