Frustrated after the new setback of Amiens SC in Thaon (2-1), synonymous with elimination in the Coupe de France, Omar Daf deplored the playing conditions while praising the face of his menirreproachable in investment according to him.
A fairly illogical defeat according to Omar Daf
“We are very disappointed. We knew that the conditions could be complicated and it was. In the first half, we did the hard part by opening the score. Unfortunately, in the second half, they equalized with their first strike. We knew that long balls and set pieces could be decisive in this type of match. They were very effective on that, so bravo to them. These are very difficult conditions, there is no support on this type of terrain. I think the boys fought. We had the ball and we tried.
What can we blame the boys for? Lack of efficiency, quite simply. This team (of Thaon) did not have the ball, did not dominate and did not have 50 chances either. In the first half, Antoine Leautey has two one-on-ones, Louis Mafouta dribbles past the goalkeeper. If it's 3-0 at halftime, it's over. (…) Amiens did not stop playing, we had the ball almost the entire game. If I'm not mistaken, Thaon has two shots on target (four in reality, editor’s note) and scores two goals. They were successful. »
