Coupe de France – Nantes did not leave its share of the revenue to JA Drancy, Franck Kita justifies himself

This is one of the cases that is making a lot of noise on this Sunday, December 22, 2024, while the spirit of the French Cup joins that of the holidays and Christmas Eve which is fast approaching: the JA experienced the misadventure, after his elimination in the round of 32 (0-4), of seeing FC leave with half of the ticket revenue from his match at the Bauer Stadium! While etiquette often requires professional clubs to leave their share to amateurs in this competition, the Canaries have decided to ignore jurisprudence. The National 3 team is therefore part of the profits it hoped to make in this large stadium of 93 to welcome the Ligue 1 club.

Questioned by Le Parisien, the deputy general director of the Nantes club Franck We who was present yesterday in Île-de-France, asserted his right of reply and explained the reasons which led him not to donate this substantial sum of money to the smallest club: “We had decided that we would remove our travel costs, bus and hotel, from our share of revenue. And if there had been a remainder on this share, we would have left it to the club. But this recipe didn't even pay half of our costs […]. No one came to see us or introduce themselves as leader of Drancy. However, I was at the edge of the pitch during the entire warm-up. We were not invited to any lounge and we went to sit in the middle of the stands. »
