The Sporting club Draguignan was officially awarded the young elite label on Wednesday at the Raoul-Brulat stadium, by Ludivine Régnier and Albert Dire, representing the Var District, in the presence of Bernard Bonnabel, deputy delegate for sports and health.
In-depth work
The distinction is rare: SCD, Sporting club de Toulon and Fréjus-Saint-Raphaël are the only three Var clubs to have obtained it.
The policy of the sub-prefectural club has always been focused on training and young people. The label thus rewards the in-depth work advocated by President Julien Sette and his general manager Eric Bergia. Without forgetting all of the club's educators. This ceremony took place as part of the SCD Christmas tree where more than 300 children in the U13 and U15 categories had a wonderful day.
The championships mark a break during the entire school holiday period. The resumption of competitions (championships, cups and stages) is set for the weekend of January 11 and 12, 2025.
General meeting on January 16
Only the senior girls (11-a-side football) will return to action a little earlier, on January 5, with a short but still perilous trip to Mougins.
The club's general meeting (sporting and financial) is set for Thursday January 16 at 6:30 p.m. in the meeting room of the Raoul-Brulat stadium. The opportunity for Julien Sette and his entire team to take stock of the 2023-2024 season.
Finally, the club will organize from February 10 to 14 a course open to categories from U6 to U13.
The curtain can now fall on a busy 2024.
