Last meeting of the year 2024 for AF Biars Bretenoux which travels, this Saturday evening, to the Montauban field for its final meeting before the winter break (match at 6 p.m.).
Initially scheduled for mid-November, this match counting for the 7th day of the Regional 1 championship, pool B, had been postponed, the Biarnais team playing its match in the 7th round of the Coupe de France that weekend.

“Especially since Montauban (currently ranked 8th with 14 points in nine matches) is behind the schedule they had set for themselves and they will do everything to get closer to the leading teams, make up for the points lost on previous weekend in Toulouse Métropole (1-0 defeat) and finish on a good note before the break,” indicates Patrick Gauthier, the coach of a Biarnais team still faced with the same paradox.

“In terms of the game, we are good, in the last matches it is satisfactory in terms of content, there are lots of good things, but this does not materialize in terms of accounting. In the last five matches, we have lost four times 1-0. We have to be able to stop this negative spiral.”
