Imbroglio at Grenoble Foot 38 ! On Wednesday, the Isère club announced the dismissal of its coach who arrived in the off-season, Oswald Tanchotafter a series of poor results in Ligue 2 started in November. In the columns of Dauphiné Libéré this Friday, we learned that the decision to dismiss the coach would have come from the president Stéphane Rosnobletmore unhappy with “certain attitudes” of Oswald Tanchot more than with the setbacks on the field.
At the end of the morning, the general director of the club, Max Martyappeared before the press with the desire to delay.

« Oswald today is our coach, he was laid off. But a layoff doesn’t bode well. He will be invited to a preliminary interview (editor’s note, to a dismissal) and it was on this occasion that the club told him what he was accused of. Logic would dictate that this be told to him first. It’s the least we can do. As in all clubs, it happens that a coach is laid off. It’s never a pleasant thing. The objective is always to have a coach in the medium term, which we have not been able to do for a while. »
On the succession of Oswald Tanchot: “ There are coaches who want to coach Grenoble all around the world, contrary to what I hear […] Today our coach is Oswald Tanchot, he is not fired, he was laid off. We are not looking for a coach. You will not find on my cell phone a request for a coach, a response to an agent for a coach. This is not my subject. Obviously coaches want to train Grenoble. There are hundreds of competent coaches unemployed and there are few clubs. We are in a privileged situation. The real question is the choices we made previously which led to departures. In many companies, people are laid off: they are requalified, dismissed or return to their positions […] Our subject is stability. We are missing the last piece of the puzzle. It will perhaps be Oswald again tomorrow, perhaps another day, who will make this last. »
