SENEGAL-SANTE-SIDA / Kolda: towards the signing of an agreement between the ANCS and the association of ”Badienou Gokh” – Senegalese press agency

Kolda, Dec 20 (APS) – The National Alliance of Communities for Health (ANCS) will sign an agreement with the “Badienou Gokh” association of Kolda (south), to strengthen the targeting of pregnant women and children living with HIV, learned the APS from a manager of this structure.

”For the thirty years of the ANCS, we are going to sign an agreement with the association of +Badienou Gokh+ of Kolda, for the next three years, for targeting pregnant women and children living with HIV”, explained their program manager, Mame Mor Fall.

This partnership aims to ”reduce the gap for children whose mothers live with HIV”, he said, stressing that with the ”Badienou Gokh”, the ANCS intends to reach as many targets as possible.

Likewise, for better care of patients, the ANCS announces the establishment of a mutual health insurance fund.

”We also came to popularize mutual health insurance which is part of a portability perspective,” said Mr. Fall.

In the very short term, he added, “all the people who will be enrolled in this mutual will benefit from its services in all the regions where they are located”.

Moreover, he pointed out that the ANCS has a community clinic based in Sédhiou and polarizing Kolda, which will offer care to elderly people throughout the southern region.

As part of its national tour, the ANCS delegation met administrative and health authorities and community stakeholders involved in the fight against HIV/AIDS.

This tour, explained the head of the ANCS, is part of an approach aimed at improving interventions, particularly in the Kolda region.
