Last week, philomatics students received their diplomas in each discipline in which they followed training to acquire the basics of a new profession because for many it is a change of direction.
It often takes a lot of courage to reorient yourself or even simply to choose a direction in life in the artisanal and artistic world and this is what philomatics offers to a wide audience in the fields of wood, furniture and fashion. President Pascal Decombis, during his welcoming remarks, underlined how much courage it takes for the learner and for those around him to embark on this adult training challenge, nevertheless this year there are ninety-two graduates who received their viatique in the following specialties: CAP Cabinetmaking, CAP Seat Upholstery, CAP Carpentry, CAP Couture Tailor, CAP Couture Flou and BP Carpentry demonstrating the artisanal and artistic orientation of the house. This year during the Competition for the best apprentice in France, thanks to their talent and their work, 42 medals were won in the three centers of excellence, testifying to the exceptional level of know-how transmitted within the Philomatic School of Bordeaux and the value of trainers who devote many hours to their students whom they follow attentively to guide them towards success

Alain Rousset, President of the Nouvelle Aquitaine Region honored the end of this meeting with his presence because he should have been present earlier but was held up by discussions around photovoltaic projects of interest to the region and he was only able to free himself up to participate. at the reception closing the evening. We know the President of the Region’s attachment to everything related to training, an area in which he has left his mark on the Region with leading achievements in both aeronautics and railway development. He welcomed the efforts made by Philomatics within the framework of Close Training, regretting the centralizing gestures of the President of the Republic with very, very high level training which has little foundation and which does not it provides no service except that of redeploying training as close as possible to the capital, which does not bring much. He did not hesitate to praise training close to the field offering local opportunities with the possibility of retaining know-how essential to human activity.
