An unexpected cancellation without explanation
At the time of writing, more than 70 passengers from the Dakar-Casablanca flight are being held at Blaise Diagne international airport. According to our information, they arrived on site around 4 a.m. to carry out baggage check-ins. But to the general surprise of the passengers, “the embarrassing information is nothing other than that the flight was finally canceled”! The reasons given? None, according to a source on the scene who tells us the hours of ordeal of the passengers who are just asking to be taken care of.
Hours of waiting without information
“We weren’t even informed beforehand. We are here from 4am to 10am. We waited so long for company officials to inform us. But we still haven’t had the information about the cancellation. And the worst part, they asked us to wait until 4 p.m. to just get the information. But still no progress,” regrets a passenger who confided in Dakaractu.
No support for stranded passengers
Despite the company’s promises, passengers are still left to their own devices. The search for a hotel mentioned to relocate the travelers has not yet been successful. The latter find themselves stuck at the airport, tired and without immediate solution, while waiting for a possible replacement flight announced for the next day at 3 p.m.
A night of uncertainty waiting for a hypothetical departure for travelers in distress
The customers of flight HC 331, who regret “the indifferent behavior” of Air Senegal staff, continue to demand a minimum of consideration. Without accommodation or guaranteed departure, they worry about spending the night in precarious conditions before an uncertain takeoff to Casablanca.
This incident once again highlights the organizational flaws of Air Senegal, a company that struggles to honor its commitments and guarantee up-to-date customer service. Such management, marked by improvisation and indifference, tarnishes not only its image, but also that of the Senegalese airline sector as a whole. If serious measures are not taken, these areas of turbulence risk becoming the norm for passengers of the national airline.
