The prefect of Sarthe, Emmanuel Aubry, has issued a decree, which will be applicable from Friday December 20, 2024 to Friday January 3, 2025.

Fireworks too
A second decree concerns fireworks (or other pyrotechnic articles) of categories F2 or F3.
“The misused use of fireworks contributes to urban violence,” justifies the prefecture document.
The purchase, sale, possession, transport and use of these items will also be prohibited, from December 20 to January 3, in the following municipalities:
- Let’s go
- Coulaines
- La Chapelle-Saint-Aubin
- Le Mans
- Ruaudin
- Sablé-sur-Sarthe
- Solesmes
As well as “in all other places where there is a large gathering of people, as well as in their immediate surroundings”.
A similar measure was adopted in Sarthe during Halloween.
