The principle of Solidarity Night:
The Night of Solidarity is a concrete action which makes it possible to carry out a count of homeless people in the region. This approach is essential for:
- Better understand the reality of homelessness in Saint-Ouen: Collect precise data on the number of people concerned, their profiles and their needs.
- Adapt public policies: Direct actions and resources according to identified needs.
- Mobilize local actors: Unite associations, social services and citizens around a common objective.
How will the evening go?
Volunteers will play a central role in this action. Training will be provided on the day, in the presence of experienced team leaders, in order to best prepare them for carrying out the survey. Each participant will receive a complete survey kit. Beyond the census, this night will also be an opportunity to distribute blankets and provide concrete support to the people met.
Why become a volunteer?
Participating in Solidarity Night means:
- Act concretely for an important cause: Contribute to improving the living conditions of homeless people.
- Live a human and supportive experience: Meet other volunteers and share a great moment.
- Participate in collective action: Get involved in the life of your city and show solidarity.
