This Thursday, agents from the Niort agglomeration (Deux-Sèvres) returned to work and waste was collected again. Since Tuesday, the agents have been on strike and demanding more resources to work in better conditions. This Wednesday, a meeting was held between staff representatives and the city, France Bleu indicated.
Announcements were made and contract agents should be recruited very soon in order to respond to employee requests and strengthen teams, indicated Niort Agglo. If the unions have announced a return to work, they “remain vigilant about the promised recruitment and have announced that a strike notice will be given if working conditions remain degraded”.
A strike that continues in the cleanliness department
If collection has resumed and the household waste collection agents have voted for the return to work, the strike movement continues at the cleaning service depot of the agglomeration.
Here too, employees are demanding more resources and denouncing “degraded working conditions”. Employees are demanding tenure for contract workers as well as various bonuses.
