“The first time we went inside, we were very moved. The places are magnificent! » Morgane et Laurent Decroix have just purchased one of the emblematic houses of the historic center of Quimper (Finistère).

This is the half-timbered building built in the 16th century.e century, rue du Sallenear Place au Beurre. “We had been looking for premises in Quimper for a year, even a year and a half. That we were offered such a property that met our needs was almost unexpected,” continues Laurent Decroix. Everything was settled in July 2024 through the real estate agency Terre d’Immo, in Quimper.

“Soul of entrepreneurs”

Morgane and Laurent Decroix were already living in . They founded and held the Terr’Aven estate in Névez (Finistère) for a dozen years. “We did agrotourism there around a market gardening activity and rental of lodges. » Before bringing this project to fruition, Morgane worked in human resources and Laurent in IT. The couple lived in the region.

We have an entrepreneurial soul and we like to launch projects.

Commercial activity in 2025

In Quimper, they set up in the city center to create a commercial activity “on the ground floor and first floor” of their new property. The start-up is planned in September 2025.

They will occupy the upper two levels of the house. For reasons of confidentiality, they will not say more about their project. “Our idea is to make this house come alive while respecting its history and architecture,” confides Morgane and Laurent Decroix to Quimper side.

The couple plans some work “upgrading”.

We are lucky to have found this exceptional property, in good condition. Our goal is to preserve all its charm.
