The Levitation France festival, an annual event dedicated to independent rock and psychedelic culture, is changing location for its twelfth edition. Scheduled for June 27 and 28, 2025, it will now take place on the shores of Lake Maine.
A new place adapted to the needs
This move, the result of a collaboration between the Levitation France association, Chabada and Radical Production, aims to respond to the constraints encountered in the Chabada parking lot, where the last editions took place.
« No more concrete, make way for the green banks of Lake Maine, still in Angers. An idyllic setting a stone’s throw from the city center, greener and more spacious: to the pleasures of the ears, there is no doubt that the pleasure of the eyes will be added », Explain the organizers.
The Lac de Maine site offers a larger space better suited to the objectives of the festival: “ Driven by the desire to grow the festival, we have wanted for several years to find a new location, the Chabada car park no longer meeting our objectives of sustainability and development. A development that is intended to be reasoned, because at a time of sobriety, Levitation France aims to remain a festival on a human scale ».
A call for patronage
This change of location comes in a difficult financial context, marked by the elimination of a subsidy of 14,250 euros by the Pays de la Loire region, which weighs on the budgetary balance of the event.
Faced with this situation, the Levitation France association launched a campaign to seek patrons and sponsors, including businesses and individuals, to support the next edition.
As for the programming, the first names will be communicated at the beginning of 2025.
