France 3 is rebroadcasting the TV film this Thursday evening The Curse of Provins. The filming of the fiction was not easy for Anne Caillon and her colleagues. Here’s why.
This Thursday, December 19 at 9:10 p.m., France 3 is offering a new broadcast of The Curse of Provinsa captivating detective fiction carried by a renowned cast. Among the main actors, we find Thierry Neuvic, Anne Caillon, Gil Alma, Julie-Anne Roth and Stéphan Guérin-Tillié. This TV film, initially broadcast in December 2019, attracted more than 4.3 million viewers, or 19.3% audience share. A performance followed by renewed success during its second broadcast in March 2023, with 3.35 million followers.
The Curse of Provins : A tense investigation in a medieval setting
The Curse of Provins plunges viewers into the heart of the medieval city of Provins, where a tragedy occurs during a historical spectacle. Karine Demarle (Anne Caillon), police captain at 36 Quai des Orfèvres, witnesses a murder attempt targeting Renan Thomas, the director. Responsible for the investigation, she must collaborate with Patrick Robin (Thierry Neuvic), her ex-husband and local police captain. Between the weight of their shared past and the complexities of the case, the tensions will not fail to fuel this gripping intrigue.
The Curse of Provins : A cold shoot and memorable memories
Filmed in the middle of winter 2018, between Provins and Saint-Ouen, the TV film left unforgettable memories for Anne Caillon. In an interview given to TV Zthe actress confided having faced bitter cold: “It was freezing cold. We had a lot of scenes outside, including one on the ramparts at 8 a.m. with Julie-Anne Roth. We couldn’t articulate anymore, and the sound engineer told us : ‘You look like you’re drunk!’ You can see that a little bit in our faces in the TV movie.” A funny anecdote which illustrates the challenges encountered by the team during this demanding shoot.
What happens to Anne Caillon?
Since his departure from Tomorrow belongs to us in 2022, Anne Caillon continues projects. She recently shared the stage with Stéphane Bern in an episode of Bellefond and gave the answer to Gwendoline Hamon in Cassandra.
