Providence bore its name particularly well on this Friday in December in Tarbes, the day of the inauguration of the Compagnons du Tour de France house. This ceremony highlighted the expansion and renovation of the building, making it possible to welcome young future Companions in the best conditions. The opportunity for the Fédération Compagnonnique Régionale Occitanie “to thank the municipality for its support and local businesses for their work”. Since 2004, the Tarbes headquarters has housed 200 to 250 young people who, during their stage of the Tour de France, worked in local companies.
It is part of the Fédération Compagnonnique network, an association recognized as being of public utility. It is both an Apprenticeship Training Center and a Continuing Professional Training Center for adults, specializing in construction professions. It trains through apprenticeship and continuing education in the professions of Carpentry, Carpentry, Masonry, Locksmithing-Metallery, Plumbing, Roofing and Painting, digital technology applied to Building (BIM, etc.) and team and site supervision. It is open to everyone, young people from 15 years old and all adults prepared for more than 20 diplomas under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Labor or National Education, from CAP to Bac + 2.
