The Senegalese Prime Minister will face MPs on December 27 to present the broad outlines of his government policy.

Ousmane Sonko, Prime Minister of Senegal informed the Council of Ministers this Wednesday that the President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, has contacted the National Assembly for the presentation of his General Policy Declaration (DPG), on Friday December 27, 2024 .

This presentation of DPG, which falls within the framework of the provisions of article 55 of the Constitution, takes place in accordance with article 84 of the Senegalese fundamental law.

The DPG is an important moment in national political life during which the head of government presents to the deputies the main directions of government action.

The General Policy Declaration will constitute Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko’s first major institutional meeting with the national representation, since his appointment as head of government following Pastef’s victory in the Presidential election last March.

This presentation should be linked to the new public policy framework “Vision Senegal 2050”, which will guide government action for the years to come.
