The debates of this three-day session, marked by the presence of several Arab ministers of Housing and Urban Planning as well as representatives of the Arab League, are focused on the challenges linked to urban planning and sustainable construction. and the means to deal with economic and environmental issues in the region, indicates a press release from the Ministry of National Land Planning, Urban Planning, Housing and Urban Policy.
Emphasis is also placed on Arab efforts in the field of sustainable urban development and on the prospects for consolidating common cooperation in this area. In this regard, the participating delegations will have to share their points of view and their recommendations on the development of innovative policies to promote the housing sector and environmental sustainability, and the means of preventing and combating the repercussions of natural disasters. .
On this occasion, the Moroccan delegation highlighted the efforts made by the Kingdom to eradicate unsanitary housing and implement housing assistance programs intended for the middle classes and households with limited income, in addition to initiatives aimed at to strengthen the public-private partnership.
The participants underlined the importance of continuing cooperation and the exchange of experiences between Arab States in favor of sustainable urban development, affirming that such dynamics require a synergy of efforts to meet future challenges and develop a urban system capable of meeting the expectations of Arab citizens.
Mr. Airoud represents at this session of the Council of Arab Housing Ministers the Minister of National Territorial Planning, Urban Planning, Housing and Urban Policy, Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri.
