The general director of the National Office of Electricity and Drinking Water (ONEE), Tarik Hamane, and the director of KfW (Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau) in Morocco, Janne Rajpar, signed, on Wednesday, a contract of loan granted by German cooperation through the KfW for a total amount of 50 million euros (M€) to finance a drinking water supply program climate resilient.

This program aims to secure and strengthen the supply of drinking water in several urban areas (Ghafsai, El Hajeb, Ain Legdah, Bouderbala, Souk Lgour and M’Haya), as well as improving the performance of water supply systems. drinking water in several regions of the Kingdom, indicates an ONEE press release.

This financial assistance is part of a fruitful and diversified cooperation between ONEE and German cooperation in the drinking water sector which dates back to the early 1980s, with integration of the resilience component in terms of production of drinking water, reports the same source.
