The request for an exemption from municipal rest made by the Action store sparked a debate in the Herbignac municipal council.
The company Action requested an exemption to open in 2025 on Sundays November 9, 16, 23, 30, and December 7, 14, 21 and 28, 2025. This company specified that each employee would receive double remuneration on Sundays, as well as compensatory rest equivalent to the time worked.
The mayor, Christelle Chassé, specifies that it is a non-food business. I met the store manager and I think that if we refuse, it would take away purchasing power from employees. And the opening on Sunday brings life to Herbignac

Despite five abstentions and five votes against, elected officials refuse this Sunday exemption.
