SENEGAL-LIBERIA-FOOTBALL / CHAN Qualifiers: 21 players summoned for the trip to Monrovia – Senegalese press agency

Dakar, Dec 19 (APS) – The coach of the local national team of Senegal, Souleymane Diallo, published, this Wednesday, a list of 21 players expected to travel to Monrovia, to face Liberia in the first leg of the qualifying play-offs at the next African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2025, scheduled from February 1 to 28 in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.

The local national team of Senegal, defending champion of the African Cup of Nations reserved for local players, leaves Dakar this Thursday for Monrovia, where it will face the Liberian team.

In regrouping for several weeks, the Senegalese selection has not played any friendly match with a foreign selection.

The local Lions had a bye from the previous round in which Liberia’s Leone Stars eliminated Sierra Leone.

For this double confrontation with the local Lions, the Liberian coach summoned most of the executives of his team.

The return match is scheduled for December 28, at the Abdoulaye Wade stadium in Diamniadio, around thirty kilometers from Dakar.
