Collapses of rue d’ in dossier

The trial ended this Wednesday, December 18 at the Marseille criminal court, which reserved its judgment until July 7, 2025. The lawyers of the former deputy mayor Julien Ruas, demanding his release, called for not make him a “scapegoat”.

Six years of waiting, and another six months to hear the judgment. This Wednesday, December 18, the president of the Marseille criminal court closed the trial of the collapses of rue d’Aubagne by deliberating his decision until July 7, 2025. Time necessary to return to six weeks of intense debates, examine “each facet of the kaleidoscope that was presented to us so that little by little, the focus is made so that what we call judicial truth emerges”, explained Pascal Gand, aware of the complex task awaiting the three judges of the court: “Deaths and broken life paths compel the community of the living. Honoring their memory means being as fair as possible in punishing those who may have been responsible for their disastrous fate.”

The morning began with the last statement from the defense. It was the duo of lawyers Benjamin Mathieu and Erick Campana who closed the ban, pleading like their predecessors for the release of their client, the only elected official returned to the dock: Julien Ruas, former deputy in charge of prevention and risk management under the LR majority of Jean-Claude Gaudin.
