The Morocco-Qatar Cultural Year 2024 concluded in style with a milestone event organized on Tuesday, December 17 at the Al Shaqab Equestrian Center, in Doha. This Tbourida show highlighted traditional Moroccan equestrian art, reflecting the richness and diversity of the Kingdom’s cultural heritage.

An emblematic event

This Cultural Year, marked by numerous artistic and cultural exchanges, celebrated the historical and fraternal ties between Morocco and Qatar.

The “Tbourida Show” brought together five renowned troupes, or 65 riders from different regions of Morocco, who offered an impressive demonstration of coordination and technical mastery. The event, organized with the support of the Société Royale d’Encouragement du Cheval (Sorec) and Royal Air Maroc (RAM) as official carrier, also attracted distinguished guests, government officials and international personalities.

The Charaf Al Bahraoui team, winner of the Grand Prix of His Majesty King Mohammed VI in El Jadida, stood out for its harmony and technical mastery. Sikas Rachid, captain of the “Al Hassan” team, was also noted for his exemplary leadership and the precision of his team’s collective movements.

Benkheda Abdelghani, whose team was rewarded for its loyalty to Moroccan traditions, was able to embody a deep respect for cultural heritage. Representing the Oriental region, Hihi Ali impressed with the cohesion and technical expertise of his riders. Finally, Al Nasihi Ibrahim, originally from southern Morocco, highlighted the cultural and heritage diversity of Morocco through spectacular and authentic performances.

The Morocco-Qatar Cultural Year 2024 was a tribute to the historical and fraternal ties between the two nations. It highlighted Moroccan tangible and intangible heritage through a series of significant cultural events organized in Qatar.

Throughout the year, exhibitions, shows and artistic exchanges celebrated the cultural wealth of Morocco and strengthened cultural cooperation between the two countries.
