Three men have been on trial since Monday December 16, 2024 by the Assize Court of Calvadosin Caen, for armed robberies committed in February 2023 in Hermanville-sur-Mer and Douvres-la-Délivrande, on the Côte de Nacre.
A sixty-year-old, tried for complicity, finally acquitted
Two of them, placed in pre-trial detention since the end of their rank on sight, appeared in the dock, while the third, a 68-year-old man, appeared free: he was tried for complicity, for having served as driver to the other two during the Douvres-la-Délivrande robbery.
This sixty-year-old was acquitted on Wednesday December 18. The jurors considered that he had not “knowingly” helped his two accomplices. This is the thesis that he defended both during the investigation and during the three days of hearing.
Eight and ten years in prison for the two robbers
The other two, aged 30 and 46, were always recognized the facts. The court sentenced them respectively to ten years of criminal imprisonment et eight years of imprisonment. It was the youngest who allegedly stabbed the apprentice at the 8 to eight supermarket in the buttock.
The two men were kept in custody. Upon their release, they will be prohibited from owning or carrying a weapon for five years.
They have ten days to appeal this decision.
