Waste collection could not be ensured over the last two days due to a social movement by agents, without notice. These serious disruptions in the operation of waste collection are partly linked to ongoing discussions on the organization of the service. Already, a Social Committee with trade union organizations has made progress: negotiations include the recruitment of collection agents in addition to those already recruited this year, as well as an increase in the meal allowance.
Already, during the community council on Monday, December 16, the creation of 6 positions was noted which follows the perpetuation of 15 collection agents in February 2024.

The Niortais urban community regrets the disruption caused to users by this social movement. The community is working to enable a rapid return to normal operation of the service. It aims to improve the organization of the public waste service in a lasting manner.
