Nicolas Le Strat, one of the young players at Nautic Club, had a terrible accident this summer and is currently in a wheelchair. An online fundraiser has been launched to help him.

This summer, Nicolas Le Strat, one of the promising young talents of the Tarbes Nautic Club (TNC), experienced a tragic accident which turned his life upside down. Only 18 years old, Nico, as his loved ones affectionately call him, was enjoying the summer like any young person his age. As he carelessly launched into a wave, he hit his head on the sand, a seemingly innocuous accident but with devastating consequences, leaving him today in a wheelchair.

Since this accident, Nicolas Le Strat has shown incredible strength and determination. Quadriplegic, he approaches rehabilitation with the same steely mentality and the same joyful mood that characterized him when he was in the water with his TNC teammates. Supported tirelessly by his family, his friends, his teammates and the entire club, he stands up with courage and positivism.

Nicolas Le Strat works tirelessly every day alongside his medical team. He approaches each challenge with his natural kindness, his unfailing determination, and his infectious smile. Whether at the rehabilitation center, with his friends or his family, Nicolas Le Strat continues to give the best of himself and inspire those around him. He shares the same joyful and laughing spirit that was his before the accident, and strives to maintain this state of mind in all trials.

To support it in its reconstruction, many needs have emerged: specific equipment for getting around, suitable clothing, as well as the equipment necessary to envisage its future in a dignified and secure manner. A prize pool has therefore been set up to support Nicolas Le Strat in this new stage of his life. This initiative is based on solidarity and sharing: everyone can give, but above all, everyone is invited to share this initiative so that mutual aid is as broad as possible.

To contribute to this prize pool and support Nicolas in his resilience journey, go to: https://tribee.fr/participations/gonico.

Every gesture counts. A big thank you to everyone who will show generosity and empathy for this courageous young man who deserves the best possible future.
