Air Corsica spreads its wings to Florence from Nice

Air Corsica is once again spreading its wings to Italy. The company announced this Wednesday the opening, from June 27, 2025, of a new connection between and Florence. Flights will be operated twice a week, every Monday and Friday, aboard the ATR72-600, modern and eco-responsible aircraft recently integrated into its fleet.

This line, a first from Nice, responds to strong demand from Côte d’Azur customers and is part of the company’s strategy to strengthen trade between Italy and the Côte d’Azur. “The attractiveness of Italian lines naturally stood out, especially since it is a market that we have known from Corsica for several years”explains Marie-Hélène Casanova-Servas, president of the Supervisory Board of Air Corsica.

A notable absence for the Corsicans
If this connection opens up new perspectives for travelers between the Côte d’Azur and Tuscany, it does not completely meet the expectations of Corsican islanders. Indeed, no direct flight between Corsica and Florence has been planned, forcing Corsicans to go through Nice to reach Italy. Air Corsica has, however, programmed the Nice-Florence flight schedules so that they are compatible with connections from the four main island airports (, , Figari and Calvi). “Thus, Corsicans will still be able to access Florence via Nice. In the opposite direction, Italian tourists will also have the possibility of reaching Corsica by combining these two flights.” indicates the company.

Strengthening Mediterranean relations
This opening is part of a broader strategy of the company which, since 2022, has linked Corsica to Rome, Milan and Olbia. With this new route, Air Corsica hopes to exploit the tourist and economic potential of the three major Mediterranean regions of Corsica, the Côte d’Azur and Tuscany. “I welcome the launch of this new annual line which will certainly give Florentines the opportunity to come to Corsica while enriching the possibilities of connections for the islanders”underlines Ms. Casanova-Servas.

Tickets for the Nice-Florence line are available now, with prices starting at €99 including tax for a Nice-Florence one-way ticket (excluding service fees) and €269 including tax for a Corsica-Nice-Florence return trip . These prices include checked baggage of 23 kg and cabin baggage of 8 kg.

Reservations can be made on the Air Corsica website or through travel agencies.
