It opened its doors to the public in 2010. But today, 14 years after its commissioning, it requires certain “repairs” and development or even redevelopment work. L’Young child care establishment (EAJE) – the name now designating crèches or “multi-welcome” – located a few kilometers north of Revel, in the commune of Blan (Tarn), is in fact at the heart ofa “development project” supported by the community of communes Aux Sources du Canal du Midi on which it depends.
Furthermore, the studies carried out demonstrate that it is now necessary to engage “energy renovation and upgrading work”in particular in connection with the various decrees passed since the opening of the structure, “but also restructuring and extension of premises ».
An extension to be defined according to the reception capacity
But it is not yet time for work within the structure at 2, rue du Mont, in Blan. The elected representatives of the intercommunality must still, in consultation with the chosen design office, validate a whole bunch of elements. “Two phases have been defined: the first, planned for the first quarter of 2025, will consist of carry out additional studiesas well as a thermal study of the building,” specifies Jérôme Garcia, vice-president responsible for early childhood and childhood issues, during the last community council.
“We will also have to position ourselves on the premises extension scenario (which will a priori be 60 m², Editor’s note), depending in particular on the capacity that we wish to allocate to this crèche,” he continues. Elected officials will also have to work on the compliance with regulatory standards of the latter and on the functional diagram of the new building.
An operation of around €500,000
The second phase is none other than the launch of the work. “It is hoped in the second half of 2025 », Announces Jérôme Garcia.
In the meantime, the community must above all strive to find grants to finance this operationwhose forecast cost is estimated at 500 000 € hors taxes. And it is precisely this point that was on the agenda for the meeting of this Tuesday, December 10, 2024. “In order to finance this operation, it is proposed to solicit our partners: the CAF and the Tarn Departmental Council, but also the State within the framework of the Green Fund”, concludes the vice-president.
Note also that the Blan multi-reception center is not the only one affected by work to bring it up to standard. Earlier this year, the community of communes Aux Sources du canal du midi had indeed voted in favor of a similar operation targeting the kitchen of the Les P’tits clous crèche in Revel.
