It’s the start of the winter break for the Inspire project. No new construction will begin before 2025.

For some, it’s a bit like the Christmas present from Inspire to get around Clermont-Ferrand better. From this Wednesday, December 18 and until Wednesday, January 8, 2025, work on the Inspire project is on pause. After a busy year with new sectors under construction, the Clermont metropolis will be able to breathe a little during the holidays.

No new construction sites will begin during this period in several areas of Clermont-Ferrand:

  • Boulevard Aristide-Briand – Boulevard Jean-Baptiste Dumas
  • Boulevard Côte Blatin – Boulevard Berthelot
  • Boulevard Duclaux – Avenue d’Italie
  • Boulevard Fleury
  • Boulevard Jean Jaurès – Boulevard Lavoisier

Facilitate access to the city center

The ongoing projects in Clermont-Ferrand and Cournon d’Auvergne will also be reduced to limit their impact on traffic. In particular to allow access to shops in city centers and encourage travel on foot.

  • Saint-Jean Gallery : temporary reopening of access to the gallery from the Burger King brand during the Christmas period
  • La Pardieu : certain exits will be reopened on Boulevard Robert Schuman during the school holidays.
