In the region of Saint-Malo and Dinard, the Bords de Rance wind ensemble has built a reputation over the years. “In 2011, Jean-Guy Jolly, then a trumpet professor at the Saint-Malo conservatory, brought together several of his students to create an ensemble of brass, clarinets and percussion which was structured as an association under the name of Vents portersreminds the group. This ensemble has played several times in Germany and Poland, and went to Brussels for the European Youth Awards. After the departure for new musical adventures of Alexandre Jolly, its conductor at the time, the ensemble, without a conductor, took a break. But the pleasure of making music is too strong. A new association, Les Bords de Rance, with almost the same musicians, led by Jean-Guy Jolly, was born. »

Here and there, the merry band, which brings together amateurs and professional musicians, offers concerts of classical, traditional, variety and jazz music. This will be the case in Dinard, Sunday December 22. “In addition to the usual pieces, the concert will end with Christmas pieces”announces Jean-Louis Couprie, one of the musicians.

Sunday December 22, at 3:30 p.m., at the church of Saint-Enogat in Dinard.
