The city of Talence is adorned with lights for the new edition of Talence en Lumières, which will be held from Friday December 20 to Sunday December 22, 2024 in Peixotto Park. This free event promises visual and audio immersion in a world inspired by Christmas stories, combining light installations, projections and magical displays.
A magical journey in Peixotto Park
At the heart of this nocturnal meeting, several thematic paintings will offer visitors a poetic stroll:
- « The delicious Christmas arches »: A stroll under monumental arches that look like candy cane.
- « Christmas tree wonders »: A decor made up of water jets, garlands, gifts and giant figurines, dominated by an impressive luminous reindeer.
- « The Nutcracker Balls »: Figurines inspired by Tchaikovsky’s famous ballet come to life among the trees for a grand imaginary ball.
- « The Christmas Castle »: The facade of Peixotto Castle is transformed into a toy factory where elves and elves are busy, while Santa Claus could appear from the rotunda.
The event is part of an eco-responsible approach with low-consumption installations, designed by the Ruggieri company, a specialist in light shows.

Screenings at Notre-Dame Church
In Alcalá de Henares Square, the facade of the Notre-Dame church will be transformed into a light screen. The children’s Christmas messages, projected continuously, will bring a participatory and warm dimension to the event.
Practical information
Access to the park will be via several entrances:
- Peixotto Alley,
- Liberation Course (facing the university),
- Place Espéléta et Town Hall.
For security reasons, the botanical garden footbridge will be inaccessible, and traffic will be interrupted on rue Pierre Curie. The organizers encourage the use of public transport (tram B, TBM bus) and gentle travel.
In case of bad weather, it is recommended to bring rain gear and suitable shoes.
A family and responsible meeting
Talence en Lumières aims to be an event that is both magical and respectful of the environment. A few days before Christmas, it invites young and old to share a moment of wonder in an enchanting setting.
