The Moroccan Preschool Foundation (FMPS), announced that the network of schools in the field of preschool education has expanded to 24,332 classes for the 2024-2025 school year, making it possible to welcome more than 380,000 children across the Kingdom.

In a press release published at the end of its 18th Board of Directors, held recently in Rabat, the FMPS notes that the year 2024 was marked by major advances in the field of preschool education, through an effort in favor of generalization, with the opening of 3,700 new classes for the 2023-2024 school year, bringing the network to 21,911 classes.

The agenda of the Board of Directors made it possible to take stock of the achievements of the year 2024 and to define priority actions for 2025, aligned with the strategic vision of the “Atfalouna 2030” Foundation.

In 2024, quality continues to be at the heart of the FMPS’s actions, notably through the end-of-cycle assessment launched on a pilot basis to measure children’s achievements at the end of the major section before entering primary school. , a longitudinal study initiated, in collaboration with the Ministry of National Education, to follow the trajectory of children and their progress throughout their school career.

It is also a system for labeling preschool classes which makes it possible to support and train local associations in charge of preschool classes, adds the press release, noting that 88 classes were labeled in 2024 as part of a pilot project, thus consolidating homogeneous quality standards across the Kingdom.

The launch of the FMPS Fab Lab, which aims to design and manufacture educational games adapted to the foundation’s educational program and intended to enrich the children’s learning experience.

The FMPS also outlined its strategic priorities for the year 2025 as part of the “Atfalouna 2030” vision, around three main axes, operational excellence, influence, as well as diversification which will notably take the form of a development of activities in the early childhood sector, particularly in terms of nursery provision.

It will also involve offering a consultancy offer, including, among other things, support for ANPECTP of Senegal in the adaptation and implementation of its preschool model.

The 18th Board of Directors of the FMPS was held under the chairmanship of the President of the FMPS, Noureddine Boutayeb, in the presence of the Minister of National Education, Preschool and Sports, Mohamed Saad Berrada, the Minister of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment and Skills, Youness Sekkouri, and Wali-National Coordinator of the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH), Mohammed Dardouri.

During this meeting, the Board of Directors unanimously approved the activity report and the financial report for 2024, as well as the forecast budget for 2025, the press release concludes.
