Terrible accident on the D927, Tuesday December 10, 2024. Around 7 a.m., two vehicles hit head on while they were traveling on the departmental road near Hérouville-en-Vexin (Val-d'Oise).

The motorist overtakes a tractor

According to the first elements of the gendarmes' investigation, one of the motorists overtook a tractor without seeing that a car was coming in front, the collision could not be avoided. Under the violence of the shock, one of the vehicles ended up in a field.

When emergency services arrived, they discovered three victims who were trapped in their respective vehicles. The firefighters had to carry out the cutting car sheet metal in order to extract them.

The passenger hospitalized in absolute emergency

Seriously injured, the front passenger of the car which carried out the overtaking maneuver received first aid on the spot provided by firefighters and Samu 95 doctors. Aged 56, he was evacuated in absolute emergency to the Beaujon hospital center, in Clichy (Hauts-de-Seine).

More slightly affected, the two drivers, aged 21 and 48, were transported in a relative emergency to Pontoise.

Traffic was severely disrupted on the D927 during the intervention which ended around 10:15 a.m.
