After making their voices heard during the UNSS departmental cross in Flamanville (Manche), PE teachers Manchois will try to alert the public again “on the attacks made on school sport” during the regional cross, this Wednesday December 11, 2024at the Haras national du Pin, in Orne.
9% increase
“The national management of the UNSS has reduced 50 000 euros animation credits for the Normandy academy. The price of affiliation of sports associations to the UNSS increased from 80 to 100 euros, and the price of licences a increased by 9%. »
For the moment, the UNSS academic service in Normandy has still not received from the national management the animation credits allowing the full reimbursement of students' trips to the French championships. The Normandy rectorate has eliminated two out of four positions in the academic management of the UNSS.
“The rector also made the choice to reduce the number of IMP (special mission allowance) allocated to UNSS coordinators and to reduce the effective overtime (already in small quantity), which the academic service needs for the operation of the competitions” , list the teachers.
A deficit season of 12.30 million euros
Educators also discuss the difficulties encountered at the national level by the UNSS. “The national organization's own funds are at their lowest, and the first fiscal year 2022-2023 of the Girault team showed a loss-making financial year of 12.30 million euros “, they say.
“To rectify the situation for the 2024-2025 season, the national management of the UNSS alone made the choice to make students and school sports associations pay more (13% increase in affiliations and licenses for a total of more of €2.30 million), while reducing the number of competitions offered to licensed students. »
Faced with these obstacles, PE teachers nevertheless intend to “save the UNSS, which is a unique tool in Europeand which guarantees the right to sport for all.”
