The Papilles d'Or rewarding the best restaurateurs in Essonne were awarded for the 2025 vintage which is also the 25th anniversary of the event. The ceremony took place at the Théâtre de Mennecy, in the presence of three-star chef Régis Marcon, the 2025 sponsor.
The Papilles d'Or were created by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Essonne in collaboration with the Chamber of Trades and Crafts of Ile-de-France-Essonne. For 25 years, this competition, recognized as a label of excellence, has highlighted the know-how of Essonne traders and restaurateurs, while contributing to the attractiveness of the region.
A first ceremony was held at the beginning of November to honor traders and food artisans. Among the new features this year: the launch of the very first Public Prize, as well as the creation of a new category dedicated to chocolate. A total of 120 restaurateurs, traders and food artisans have received a label.
The 2025 edition welcomed around forty new participants. The 15 categories represented cover a wide range of professions, from gourmet catering to food trucks, including greengrocers, wine merchants and roasters, all having received 1 to 4 Papilles, symbolizing different levels of excellence.
Among the new features, the “Chocolate Factory” category made its debut, with two distinguished establishments: Chocolat'Yerres in Yerres, which obtained 4 Papilles, and Tablettes et Compagnies in Palaiseau, which was awarded 3 Papilles. The other new feature, the creation of a Public Prize, allowed consumers to actively participate in the event. This is how more than 3,000 online votes were recorded on a dedicated site, rewarding L'ARTisan Pâtissier in Viry-Châtillon and the Italian restaurant Le Rugantino in Montlhéry for their excellence and their popularity with the public.
Among the most remarkable establishments, some have obtained the prestigious 4 Papilles rating, testifying to exceptional know-how:
