The lights are not all green on the bus line 28operated by Transdev Sud Yvelines, which connects Maule to Meulan-en-Yvelines via the Van Gogh high school, in Aubergenville (Yvelines). Many problems have been identified by parents of high school students in recent months.

More serious, there would also be a failure to respect the rules of conduct.
“We have already seen a driver take a roundabout in the wrong direction, next to the high school, or even park on the railway tracks on the D191. Between delays, absences and misconduct, there have been 35 incidents recorded since the beginning of October. »

Her colleague Sandrine De Oliveira, president of the Federation of Parent Teacher Councils (FCPE) of the Van Gogh high school, confirms: “The students warned us during the first board meeting of the school year that they were encountering problems with a driver. We sent an email to the carrier which received no response. »
“Either we arrive fifteen minutes late for class, or the bus doesn’t come at all,” confides one high school student of Terminale, living in Maule, met in front of the establishment.
Communities await answers
Both the City of Aubergenville and the Gally-Mauldre community of communes are trying to have explanations. “The mayor brought the problem up to the Region,” we are told at Aubergenville town hall.
“The parents of the students copied us on messages they sent to Transdev », Informs Myriam Brenac, vice-president of Gally-Mauldre in charge of Transport, Travel and Soft Traffic.
“We relay the messages and ask Transdev to provide us with some answers. We are still waiting. »
Transdev admits “a problem of regularity”
Contacted, the transport operator Transdev claims to have recorded few complaints on this line since the start of the school year in September (fourteen over three months of operation). However, he recognizes “a problem of regularity on certain schedules and particularly on evening school outings”.
“We reacted immediately by setting up rigorous monitoring of the services provided on this line by our centralized command post and raised awareness among local managers. We also launched a study of travel times to improve the service provided to the line's passenger customers. »
“This is unacceptable”
Regarding the dangerous behavior of certain drivers, “this is unacceptable”, according to Transdev. “Île-de-France Mobilités and Transdev do not compromise on the safety of travelers or on proper compliance with the highway code,” it is added. Each time inappropriate or dangerous behavior is reported to us, we systematically meet the driver concerned to raise awareness or even call them to order. »
“The case of judgment on the level crossingin a slow traffic situation was brought to our attention through a complaint, continues the operator. This immediately followed a reminder to all drivers so that this would not happen again. »
