The general assembly of the club of rural seniors La Peyro Hitto took place on Saturday, November 23, in the presence of the mayor, Benjamin Fagès, Marie-Lise Boris and Alain Toutut, new administrators of Générations movement of the canton of Tonneins, the mayors of the communes neighbors and presidents of the Granges and Bourran clubs. As a preamble, Sylvette Ghilardi, the president, observed a minute of silence in honor of Jean-Pierre Moïzo, sector administrator for many years, who died in early 2024.
The club has 156 members this year. The 2025 contribution remains at 15 euros. The last big lottery attracted 105 people, a result considered derisory compared to the investment to organize it. The board of directors therefore decided to no longer organize them in 2025. But the small lotteries continue every first Tuesday of the month, because they are still as successful.
In May, members went to visit Cahors. Computer courses, taught by Alain Brie and organized by the Lot-et-Garonne Federation of Rural Elders, took place at the town hall on Friday mornings, and a dozen people took advantage of them.
The meeting ended with delicacies and music.
