The association The Safety of Corronsac was born at the beginning of 2024. Initiated by the authors of the work Corronsac, the secrets of timeit is particularly dedicated to the preservation of the church and more broadly to the promotion of the municipal heritage. “Our priority is to safeguard and restore our heritage with the church in our town as the focal point,” says Dominique, one of the members of the association.

After the great success of its first participation in the European Heritage Days (JEP), it invites, this Sunday, December 8, 2024, to his first Christmas festivities on the theme of lightorganized in the small town of Corronsac, east of Toulouse.

A celebration combining Christmas and Light

Combining the two notions of Light and Christmas for these end-of-year celebrations is obvious to the organizing team. “Christmas is a time of year conducive to maintenance and transmission of traditionswhich brings together young and old, explains Dominique. We present Light in traditions, in its artistic expressions and in openness to the different cultures of the world. »

The La Sauveté de Corronsac association therefore invites you to the party, this Sunday, December 8 afternoon. On the program: choir, celebration of Saint Lucy, carillon concert and sound and light show.

Meet at the church from 3 p.m. for a choral concert of the vocal group Les Tréteaux de Régambert from Salles-sur-l'Hers, with a program of songs of the world andtraditional Christmas tunes.

At 4 p.m., the village children will take the stage to decorating the tree to the rhythm of Christmas songs played on the piano by Jean-Claude: a tradition borrowed from celebration of Saint Lucia (holy of light) in Swedish fashion.

Finally at 5 p.m., after the festive chimes, it will be time for sound and light show (weather permitting), aptly titled Art in lightwhich provides two paintings in accordance with the program of the day: Light on Sweden and The Madonnas of Leonardo da Vinci et Raphael.
