She had stitches on her neck. face, she has bumps… Such violence is unthinkable”. It was a passerby who found the injured teenager and raised the alarm.
“If you file a complaint, we’ll kill you”
This attack would follow a previous dispute between the victim and the group of young girls. According to the schoolgirl's father, they blamed his daughter for filing a complaint after a previous altercation. “My daughter had already been threatened a few weeks ago. I believed that we could resolve things through dialogue, I called the mother of one of the girls in question to tell her that it was necessary to It's calming down.”. Ludovic also spoke of the threats received by his daughter: “A friend of my daughter tried to contact me last night, just before the attack, because she had learned, probably on social networks, what was being prepared. I called one of the girls who were talking about assault, a former friend of my daughter, who told me they wouldn't do anything to her”.
The next morning, the father filed a complaint with his daughter for aggravated violence. “My daughter was threatened with death, she was told: 'If you file a complaint, we'll kill you!'”he confided. He claims that other students would have suffered intimidation from these teenagers “who believe they are untouchable”which he describes as originating from Valence and Malissard.
“A trivialization of violence”
“This is the first time to my knowledge that such serious acts have been committed. We immediately informed our national police officer and requested a reinforced presence in front of the establishment”reacted Jacques Berger, director of the Sainte-Anne school complex, the day after this attack.
The mayor of Valence, who is also Minister for Daily Security, Nicolas Daragon, also reacted following this attack, 48 hours after the events, in a press release:
“This attack on a young girl by other young girls is unfortunately not a trivial matter, it is an increasingly common reflection of an absence of authority at home and a trivialization of violence. as a source of resolution of any conflict. It is unbearable and intolerable.. The councilor also called for the responsibility of parents: “if your children are violent, you are responsible financially, morally and criminally”.
The current investigation will have to establish the precise responsibilities of each of the arrested adolescents and determine their motivations.
