Canada Cartage announces acquisition of Coastal Pacific Xpress

Canada Cartage has entered into an agreement to acquire Coastal Pacific Xpress (CPX), a temperature-controlled transportation services company headquartered in Surrey, British Columbia. The transaction is expected to close during the month of December.

CPX, founded in 1986, specializes in full-load (TL) and less-than-truckload (LTL) refrigerated transportation. It has cold storage and transshipment facilities in Surrey as well as Calgary, Alberta. Its trailer fleet numbers nearly 600 units.

This acquisition complements Canada Cartage’s expertise in transporting food and beverages in eastern Canada and the United States, with CPX being well established in western South America. North.
